MIRA
Mandibular Incisor reducing appliance. Full arch upper and lower appliances that contact to only in the canine areas. Functions as a deprogrammer.
- The upper arch designed as a full arch appliance with a discluder (flat platform) from cuspid to cuspid.
- The lower arch is also a full arch appliance with rounded stops in the cuspid areas that contact the upper platform.
- All but the cuspids are out of occlusion by about 2mm

Designed with a repositioning ramp and a discluding element that guides the mandible into a specific treatment position as established by clinician. Only allows contact with lower anterior teeth (no posterior contact).
