Hard Pivot
A mandibular orthopedic repositioning appliance(MORA). Typically made to Clinician’s treatment position. Designed to allow contact of the maxillary 1st molars. Posterior coverage (no incisal coverage), lingual apron major connector with wire reinforcement. Made with up to 8 ball clasps. There is a 10mm square step (pivot) built to contact the mesio-palatal cusps maxillary first molars. All other teeth are 1.5-2mm out of Occlusion. It’s purpose is to increase joint space, decompress the jaw joint and help increase mandibular range of motion.

Anterior Deprogrammer
Full arch appliance with a discluding element that allows only contact of 4 lower incisors (no posterior contact).

Flat Plane Splint
The Flat Plane Splint has been a long-time staple in dentistry. The standard design is full coverage with all opposing dentition in contact. It is a very versatile appliance design. It can be worn during day of night. It can be modified with Occlusal indexing to reposition the mandible or given anterior guidance.
